2012 International Exhibition of Women's Fine Art Photography exhibits "2 Great Egrets Preening" from award winning artists' book "Great Egret"
San Francisco (March 10, 2012) - Terry Turrentine, award winning fine art avian photographer, has been awarded The Juror's Selection in the Professional Women Photographer's International Women's Juried Exhibition.
Chosen as the Juror's Selection from over 1800 entries, Terry Turrentine's duotone image will be physically exhibited at the .NO Gallery, 251 Houston Street, NY, NY on May 9th through May 27th, 2012. The selected images will also appear in the online gallery on PWP's website from March through August 2012. www.pwponline.org.
The photograph "Two Great Egrets Preening" was chosen by the renowned photographer Mary Ellen Mark as the prestigious Juror's Selection. The competition included national and international photographers who participated in the PWP's 2012 Spring Call For Entries.
Terry Turrentine has been photographing Great Egrets in their native habitats for over 20 years, creating astounding portraits of their life in the wild. Admired by both nature lovers and photography experts, she is known for setting the standard in fine art avian photography. Her limited edition book, "Great Egret" is in the rare book collections of Stanford University, Trinity College, LSU, The Boston Athenaeum and the Hennepin County Main Library in Minneapolis.
She also received an honorable mention in wildlife from the prestigious Black and White Spider Awards, an international photography competition.
